Your 110 may well be, essentially, the same rifle as my old 110. 26" heavy barrel, top bolt release, wide action screw spacing (compared to the current short actions), long action, etc.
Except, you have the Accutrigger - which I agree, are very nice.
In any event, it sounds as if you have the same (or very similar) inadequate stock as the one that came on my 110. Actually, mine shot quite well, once I added a pad at the tip of the forend, to ensure that the stock would not touch the barrel except at that one location. But, if you want a replacement stock, consider a Boyds Pro Varminter. Recently switched to that stock on my 110. They do a standard inlet for the long action 110, with heavy barrel. The fit was so good, without modification, that I almost skipped glass-bedding it. Almost.
I can't say that my 110 shoots better (than with the original plastic stock) now, but it certainly FEELS and handles better. The weight of the laminated stock shifts the centre of balance of the rifle rearward, so it balances much better (feels far less "nose heavy"). I have retained the original trigger, for now, as it feels much better with the more vertical grip of the new stock. For $163, the Boyds stock was worth every penny, in my estimation.
I just had the 110 out yesterday. Shot 1" groups (+/-) at 200 yards with it, at will. Stacked shots, one on top of the other, on steel targets, at both 200 and 300 yards. Easy to shoot well. Tremendous fun.
That old 110 makes me look GOOD (it's the RIFLE, not me).
