Loose wedge in my pietta 1851 i think?

Here is a good question. I have seen Academy and stores now offering Piettas and BP supplies that quit doing so (three years ago)when I opened my little room. I can't compete w/ this but I want to decide if I stay open to only sell Rems w/ conversion cylinders extra. What do you think? I tried a couple of years ago to fit 38 conversions to Navys but they did not work. I'm talking about RD drop ins. I don't see how I can compete unless I invest in conversion cylinders(EXPENSIVE) Do you think I am a traitor to do so and trying to take advantage of loopholes? I'm not like that and never expected my store to make much money. Is that what you'd do? And why have these stores suddenly retailing these.?

If you can keep your prices competitive. You can't compete with Cabela's but if you can undercut the retail competition you should do ok. Maybe stock a few conversion cylinders and see how they do.

Thanks Hawg I think the Rems are better suited for them. Especially Pietta. Uberti is expensive. But I wish you had that case hardened 58 Uberti w/ conversion cylinder. You'd like it:) Actually they have gone up in price almost 20% in last 6 months. I can't buy them anymore unless special order. Taylor & Co wants 389. I think the Possible shop might be a little less but for Rem lovers--HEY what can I say>

I had a case hardened Pietta but I had to sell it(along with some others) to help pay for meds while I was off work after surgery. I really wish I'd been able to buy that second gen Navy or the Uberti Navy you had awhile back. Gonna be a long time before I can buy anything else I'm sure.

Sorry Hawg--hope you're doin well! I barely remember that 2nd gen navy. I wish I still had it. The case hardened rem I got is Uberti. I now want to keep all colts.

you know, I have a case w/ a 3rd gen sig series colt army 44 and a 51 navy w/ accessories along w/ some others. I don't think I want to sell them now but price them up to make the others look better. I want to keep all my 3rds and the two 2nd's since it appears they are not offered near as much on internet as they were a year ago. Something to leave to grandkids :) Take care.
