Looks like I need to pull some 9mm bullets

Sorry just noticed a new post . I don't remember what was all said in the thread and don't want to go back and read it . After getting the E-mail back from Hornady I had no problem keeping most of what I loaded together . What I did was pull two or three of the higher charges and load a few at a lower charge then I started with . All went well and all loads I tested cycled the firearm . I started at 4.0gr and ended at 5.1gr . The loads that shot well or were giving me what I wanted ( accuracy , mild recoil ) were in the 4.4 to 4.7gr area . I got to 4.9gr and felt there was no need to try anything hotter because I had what I wanted at the lower charges . So I never fired the 5.0 or 5.1gr charges . I settled on 4.6gr @ 1052fps and a 1.5" group at 25' I think my ES was like 21 and SD was 11-ish I forget . That was using a 4" XD9

I have since loaded more at the 4.6gr and shot at the range . They all go bang and hit what I'm aiming at for the most part . All is good , hope That's the answers you were looking for . If not just ask again what specifically you want to know

EDIT : Just went back and read most of the thread . Sorry to all you guys for never coming back and reporting the results . I thought I did . oops :o

But what do you use for SD loads? I do not load wimpies as I want more energy transferred to the target so I do my accuracy work at the top end of the charge and I do not use tightgroup but 231, HS6, Green Dot, Red Dot or Unique

Factory loads for SD/HD as well as CCW . The HAP bullet will not expand so terminal ballistics are moot with that projectile . Probably not much different then loading FMJ as far as using for SD/HD

Remember these were the first pistol loads I ever loaded so I was not looking for anything special . Just a nice safe plinking load . :)
