Looking for an AR. Need advice

Ive got a 2 aks and 6 ars. In my opinion the aks are a bit more reliable. Im not talking parts breakage as ive yet to have either break a part. The ars are a bit more ammo sensitive and dirt sensitive. Keep them relitively clean and oiled and use good ammo and they run like a top. A ak might keep running with crap ammo and more dirt but if theres a target out there at 300 yards I sure know which id want to enguage it with. Ars are amazingly accurate. In my experience just as accurate as any bolt gun. Aks are more like a bullet hose to me. They may be more relibable but theyd better be as your going to be shooting alot more to hit targets.

Here is the route I went...

Rock River Tactical Operator II. Came with everything you see except the optics and foregrip.
Quad Rail Fore-end, Winter Trigger Guard, Ergo Grip, Magpul style stock, 2-stage match trigger, chromed BCG, tactical muzzle brake, flip up front sight, any rear sight you want, I chose the removable tactical carry handle/sight which has a picatinny rail underneath.

All in all, well over $1,500 worth of stuff if you bought the rifle and add-ons seperately. I paid $1,082.25 shipped.

It now has a Vortex Strikefire red/green dot scope with a Vortex 3x magnifier on a swing mount.

I've put about 10,000 rounds through my LaRue/CMMG AR with exactly 4 malfunctions. Reliability is there if the operator is willing to put in the maintenance.

Anyway, I recommend Bravo Company Manufacturing as a place to start. Wide assortment of products, decent prices, and their uppers are solid.
