Looking for a reason to buy a gun....

There is one advantage to being single, living alone, and being well grounded financially. I don't have to justify what I buy for fun to anyone but myself - and I don't take much convincing.

I see a pump shotgun in my future. Or perhaps a pocket pistol. Or possibly that Walther P99 I've been putting off getting. Or maybe a .44 magnum wheelgun. The fact that I can't buy them all right now just keep things interesting for the next few years. :D

If I find a great deal on a gun, I am buying it! If I get in trouble, I can always let it go. If I got a great deal, chances are good that I lost nothing, and got to shoot a nice gun for awhile. I love to cruise the pawn shops looking for treasure.:D

"Reason to buy another gun? I never thought of a reason, just bought what I could afford. Then told the wife, "no honey that's not a new gun, I just haven't used this one in quite a while". The only * that has to be added to this is that you must own over 20 or so firearms to pull this one off, and have a wife that doesn't know guns very well."

My wife was making dinner while I was watching Guns and Gear the other night, someone mentioned sneaking a new gun into the house. She just laughed at the idea. I asked her if she has any idea what is in the safe, of course she does. "There are some silvery ones and some black ones. Some have pretty wood handles." End of interest. I have always just bought what i wanted, she has no issues with it, and we both wondered what kind of marriage requires sneaking around each other.
I love that girl!

Here I come onto a gun forum expecting to meet other paranoid, redneck, big-boom-handgun-toters with spare mags and BUGs, and apocalypse -now- anticipators like me and what do I find in the middle of all this?

Uncle Billy spouting Shakespeare!!

That right there is reason enough to buy guns!!

Reason ? Many have been offered. God made things in pairs. I like pairs also.

I have paired a .357 magnum revolver with a lever gun.
I have paired a .44 magnum revolver with a lever gun.
I have paired a .44 magnum pistol with a .44 magnum lever gun.
I have paired a .30 Carine revolver with a USGI M1 Carnine.
I have paired a Ruger .22 Single Six with a Remington .22 pump gun.
I have paired a Ruger M77 6mm Rem. with a Remington 1100 12 ga.

Pairing things just seems to be the natural order. Do you have anything that needs pairing ?

The number one reason for buying a gun is finding out your wife or girlfriend is cheating on you. I get mine from this guy at a biker bar, he usually has a nice selection of untraceable guns in the trunk of his car!:D

Walk around a gun show, or pick up an old gun magazine or gun book, and look at older models no longer in production. There are countless, well made classics out there. Buy one of those!!!!

My top reasons are as follows in no particular order......

1. The day ends in "Y".......good day to buy a gun.

2. The wind is blowing....good day to buy a gun.

3. The sun rose this morning, means I am still alive.......good day to buy a gun

4. The dog wants a new one.....THIS one has cost me a few also.

You get the idea....:D

The same reason I tell my warden, uh, wife when she says something about all my guns and fishing rods.
Have you ever seen a golfer with only ONE club in his bag?:D

Are you serious? If you taking care of your financial responsibilities, you decide! I have issues with you having to ask us. Are we to tell you what to eat for dinner tonight? Wow!
