Looking for a pistol....first pistol

My experience has been limited to a PT92C, PT111, SR9 AND XD Mod2

We just purchased an XD Mod2 for the wife who has just started shooting. It was her choice of all we looked at. I too like the way it handles and feels. I think the grip on the Mod2 is more comfortable than the regular XD. Just feels more natural to me.

Considering the specs given, I am guessing grip/wrist strength may be an issue.

IF I am right, my experiences indicate that the longer the barrel, the lighter the recoil spring- compared to the same gun in a short barrel.

The WORST gun I have ever had to rack a slide on was a Kahr K9. However it shot flawlessly for me. Just was a bear to cycle that slide properly.

I see you want over 3". Good start!
