Looking for a carry + range gun.

I just don't like the mode of operation of the Beretta safety, and its location. Ruger's works the same way on its P-series guns.

Slide mounted, which makes it a bit of a reach, and you pull it down to decock and then have to push it back up to fire. Try practicing DA pulls for a bit and see that this is a bit of a pain.

I prefer a frame-mounted, down-to-fire setup like on the FNX, HK USP var. 1, or Taurus PT 92, all of these spring back to firing position after decocking. Much easier to practice with.

But it's just a preference. If the safety doesn't bother you, your gun is otherwise a fine choice.

It occurs to me you may have gotten a smaller version than the one I got, but recoil should still be no problem.

I actually didn't get the compact. I thought it was the compact simply because the size. I thought there was a sub-compact and compsact and full. I got the full, which is give or take the same size as my brothers Sig P250c. No worry to me, as I got it for the size, not what it is called on the box.
