Looking at single actions

Yes Deerslayer and us country boys have different shooting conditions.
I have 3 outdoor ranges less than 20 miles, or just shoot shoot "out back", have to go 100 miles to find an indoor range. Like the smell of burning black powder and not too fond of all of that messing with the dirty brass.
I like cleaning guns and usually run at least powder-solv patch before heading home.
 
Driftwood, that was an incredibly informative post, thank you. Based on some of the things you mention I think I may go ahead and watch for a nice BP model to come up for sale somewhere.
