London acid attacks, result of no firearm rights?

It's the government trying to reduce healthcare costs by keeping criminals from being injured.

Let that bounce around your brain box for a while, and try to come up with an argument for defense against acid attacks that Parliament would actually go for..

Yeah, because the health care costs for those injured would be free to the government.....Those attacks just need to happen to one of those government folks to make a change happen.......

It's a mistake to compare much of anything that happens in England (or most of the rest of the world) with us in the US.
We are unique in our individual rights, including the right of self defense and survival.
We are represented in our government rather than ruled by it.
The idea of a representative democracy is given rhetoric "over there" but they don't really get or understand it.
And it's a shame our leaders keep trying to save the rest of the world from itself.

When you have a population that believes that they have no right or reason to defend themselves and you introduce a new population that believes they have a moral mandate to replace the existing population you get all kinds of attacks. Knives, swords, acid, bombs and guns used by one population against the other.
