LOL...Here is a REAL Man's Magnum

Maximum average pressure - 82,500 psi

Make a great bird gun. Concussion should be good for waterfowl out to 50 feet.

It is my understanding that High Standard is going to be re-intruducing their .22 magmum O/U derringer, sized up for this cartridge. One of the very few cases where the rounds weigh more than the gun.
I gotta have one. Too many moles running around in the yard.

I just bought a .44 Redhawk JUST IN CASE bears decide to migrate several hundred miles and move into my gated neighborhood. I think they're going to have to resurrect a dinosaur to justify this new one. (BTW April Fool's Gay isn't until tomorrow.)

You think they will make a carbine version?

Nope, just saw an article that said the full auto version is first.
They are having trouble with the 100 round drum magazine.

Another gun for those mall-ninja armchair Rambo wannabes. I find it amusing that my local gun store has number of used S&W .500 mags for sale in the used bin. Most likely bought by video game players who never handled a gun in their life, but use one playing Call of Duty online, not realizing in reality there is something called "recoil" that does not exist in video games.
If this is indeed real, wait a few weeks for them to show up slightly used in gun stores, perhaps with bits of the original owners flesh still attached, sold back to pay for broken limbs.

"His hand gun would break both arms of a normal man. He is....The Most Interesting Man in the World"

I don't always drink beer but when I do.....

:)

If one tried to fire this size ammo in a revolver, one of three things would happen:

#1 (Worst Case Scenario): The recoil breaks your hands, the weapon hits your skull and cracks it, and you die from head trauma.

#2: The recoil breaks your hands, the weapon hits you in the face and breaks your nose and causes serious lacerations to the face.

#3: You just get your hands broken and end up feeling like an idiot.

i can't believe that everyone missed one key thing! How the hell does something become harder to kill? So your telling me 9mm 100 years ago would have killed the moose? how did the moose get so strong? how can i use the moose tactics to become stronger and in effect harder to kill? making me the ulitimate survivor ?

I wouldnt shoot those rounds, might as well shoot 10ga out a mouse gun:D

Good stuff. Reminds me of the one about the Smith and Weston over under .410/.45 semi auto handgun I saw a while ago.

Man now I feel like such a sissy just started loading .500 S&W! :o

WOW that is a beast seeing I think a .500 is one!
