Local story yesterday - Lawyer drops gun in courthouse, gets arrested

Jake 98/C

Minor point, but the federal regs classify firearms made prior to 1899 (1898 and before) as antiques, not curios and relics.

CCW or not, most places restrict carrying firearms into any courthouse. Though since this is an unknown, he could be in a state that allows it.

I live in a little town in Middle GA, when you go to court they run you through metal detectors. They wouldn't even let me take my little victorinox knife in the courtroom. The lawyer should have known better. Wait there is a clause in the law here in Ga that you can take your gun to your place of work. hmmmmm?

Oh LORD NO I did'nt mean Jim March I meant the lawyer. What I was saying is that this guys irresponsible behavior of his firearm makes us CCW people look bad. By making us CCW people look bad maybe that was what he wanted to do, or he is just that mentally deficient to play with a CONCEALED gun in court causing it to discharge.

Of course that is my satire of the situation, if somebody would post a link to the story, if they haven't; I might better understand how that this lawyer's accidental discharge of a CCW weapon might have a reasonable explanation.

At the expense of the dummy lawyer, this story is a prime example of the importance of a quality holster.
::stepping off the soap box now::
