Llama handguns?

Pilot - I had a 22 just like that in the 70s; don't know whatever happened to it but remember it shot well and was very accurate

IM_LUGER - I can take pics tuesday at work for you, but if you go to gunbroker.com and search for super comanche, there are good pics of blue, duo-tone, and nickle ones.

As far as accuracy - out to around 40 feet, the 410 puts almost all the shot on a piece of paper about 18" square; the 3 and 5 -000 buckshot also keep all the shot on same size.currently working on making 450 Mongo rounds to shoot in 45. Regular 45lc is not very accurate because the bullet has to jump about 2" to get to the rifling. The 450 mongo is a 444marlin case expanded to 45 caliber, it puts the slug right close to the rifling.

I'll check gunbroker, but can't really talk you out of talking your own pics :D

EDIT: I found some good pics of the gun...looks like nickel plating looks a little rough...blued version might be better...BTW if you can take pics of the sights or what the gun looks like from the top I would appreciate it ( I couldn't find any)

IT IS A $150.00 PISTOL.
the trigger is good, it locks up tight, and the sights are adjustable; don't even need the sights for 410, just point and shoot.

BTW, the grips in the pictures are the rubber Pachmirer grips for a ruger.

I have a Llama .380 I picked up in 1965.
An exact copy of a 1911 but scaled down.
USAF arms guy gave it a light tune up.
Carried it for years and God only knows how many rounds through it.
I finally retired it in 2005.
It still shoots quite well.

Hey guys,

I recently bought a Rexio RC3-22M-S. It's a single shot break action pistol chambered in .22 Magnum. I've been trying to do some research on it but haven't found much other than Rexio comes out of Argentina, and Rexio was bought out by Lasserre S.A. . I think the gun is solidly built, the finish isn't the greatest but it seems to hold up okay. I bought it used for about $150 including a little case for it and the background check fee. I've not seen another around besides one on gunbroker and one when I google searched it. Trying to post pictures but may take some time. I know this thread mentioned the super camanche in 45/410. Anyone know if this weapon is up for interchangeable barrels in different calibers like the thompson center contender? I would imagine they are because the super camanche is built on the same frame. The only thing different is the barrel (chamber included in the barrel obviously).Anyone know if this gun or not?

No, I don't think they were designed to be interchangeable like TC. The 22lr & 22Mag are rare these days, I don't think they make them anymore or just no one imports them. The Super comanche & comanche line of revolvers is imported by RSA and distributed by Eagle imports, who also imports the Bersa & Firestorm line from Argentina.

We have the Llama .32 "Baby 1911". Wonderful little handgun. My wife used it to qualify for her CCW - 15 rounds back-to-back, each hole touching the other.

I had a Llama 1911 style 9mm decades ago. Can't remember anything bad about it. Had a good feel to it, as I recall.

Rexio Pics

Hey all,

Okay so It's been some time since I wanted to take some pictures but I was having issues with the camera. Almost all have been resolved. So here are a couple pictures of the rexio 22 mag I own. Sad story though. I recently took it to the range and it failed miserably. I couldn't hit the paper at all! Further and CLOSER examination of the firearm proved that the front blade sight was at one point cut down. Why? Who knows. Some idiot wanted a different sight picture or maybe he was shooting this pistol at tremendous distances and that's why he cut it. In short, the gun was modified and if shot with a standard way of sighting the weapon, you'll shoot WAY too high. I am currently looking into options on how to fix this issue. The gun shop offered to buy it back but I want it so I will try to find a fix. But none-the-less here are some pictures.

Yep, compared to the sight on my 45/410 i'd say about 1/2" has been cut off of it. I've been tempted to cut mine because it hangs up on everything being its so tall.

There was a gun writer who went into print back in the sixtie or seventies saying the little llama 380s were ok for 1200 fps reloads because they were lock breech. If he blew up the gun, he never mentioned it.
Whenever we saw somebody pull out a Llama 1911 at the range we would say, "watch it jam"-and we did.
I heard that they were imported by Stoeger and the company was threatening to dump them because they wouldn't function.

well I thought about trimming the rear site plate down to match but there is little room for the modification and I would rather not damage the gun further. I'm thinking of having a machinist I know make a key for it. (Like fitting a new peace into the existing one) That or maybe remaking the whole new sight piece. It's just a ring that goes over the barrel and held on with a pin. If this is not a fixable situation, and parts are not findable, then I will probably put a scope on it see what happens. Any other thoughts?

I purchased a Llama Comanche, 4" .357 Magnum in the mid 80's. It has been a fine revolver, no problems with it. It was my bush carry revolver for years. I retired it when I upgraded to a .454 Casull.

It has a coil main spring so it's trigger pull is not as smooth as my K frame S&W's.

I used to own a Llama Omni 9mm. It was a good shooting pistol but the grip was too large for me. I sold it and bought another Omni in .45 acp. It was a truly fine pistol; the ergonomics were good for me and the trigger pull was smooth and crisp. After a few thousand rounds, the frame cracked so it sits in the safe. I think the Omni was a fine pistol and lament its passing.

"I had a 22 just like that in the 70s; don't know whatever happened to it but remember it shot well and was very accurate'

I had one too. I eventually sold it because I HATE grip safeties.
