living Tooth, Fang, and Claw........

I don't know but to clear up any confusion allow me to say unequivocally I am a one issue guy in government/politics, the Constitution. Sorry, I can't defend part of it at time, it's whole hog or nothing with me. And quiet frankly, believe it or not but the legitimate reason we vote in this Republic is for the Constitution. At least that is the oath of office and I can't think of a better reason to vote than for someone who will honor the oath. Seems strange to me some of the reasons given by political writers and tv talking heads and even stranger that any citizen would believe them. Not to mention parrot them.

I no longer hunt but have many fond memories of the chase and camaraderie from Carolina to California and many places in between. I would never deprive anyone of the joy of the chase. Most, about 35 years, of my hunting was done with bow & arrow. I first fell in love with the flight of an arrow at about 12 years of age. I almost made guided missile expert. Score over 400 instinctive with recurve or compound on old type field range. Happy hunting hunters.

Allen,
I'm just about sick of hearing that crap about a vote for a third party is a vote for Gore. I now pledge my vote to the Libertarian candidate* for president. Only you know in your heart what is right for this country. Only you can do the right thing. You can vote your conscience or you can play petty political stratagist. I almost lost the faith, but now after hearing the same ol'e line, I'm voting what I know to be the right path. I refuse to leave the ballot box feeling as if I had sold my principles betting on a horserace. It isn't about picking the winner. It is all about picking the best. Keep the faith, I'm sticking with you 'til November!

* Disclaimer: If by an act of God, Bush, and McCain drop dead, and Alan Keyes becomes the Republican candidate, I will vote for the small l libertarian and feel awesome.

Find out just what the people will submit to and you've found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either words or blows or with both.

kjm, I hear you and as the lesser of two evils I would consider Keyes. He does know the Constitution and therefore have an idea what is the oath of office. The oath of office is where most citizen are hung up, I think. Politicians in office have disregarded the oath so long that citizens do too today and have for some time. If a citizen can't honestly conclude to him/herself that their choice to vote for will honor the oath of office, then they, their posterity and this Republic would be better off if they didn't vote.

In the government and politics of this Republic the Constitution is the truth and there are no better ideas.
