List top 5 single stack 9mm with great trigger.

An older 239, to me, is a classic CCW piece that will always be in my rotation. Accuracy and reliability that is matched by very few at the price point.

List top 5 single stack 9mm with great trigger

1. Sig Sauer P210
2. Sig Sauer P220 (common in Europe, few imported here in 9mm, I'm fortunate to have one).
3. Star Model B
4. S&W 39-2
5. Beretta 92 M

There are several currently-manufactured choices on the market…my top five would be (for concealed carry):

1) Sig P239
2) CM/PM-9
3) M&P Shield
4) Sig P290
5) Ruger LC9

Some that I’ve heard about but have little to no experience with:

Walther PPS
Kel-Tech PF9
Sig P938 (SA)
Springfield EMP (mini 1911)
XDS9
Kimber Solo
BerettaNano
Bersa BP9CC (I’ve had nothing but great things to say about their Bersa Thunder .380)

And there are some high-end ones like the Boberg or controversial one’s like some in the Taurus line (not so much controversial but more of a wide separation of opinions).

ROCK6

Try to find a Bersa bp9cc. It has a light trigger with a short reset, is light and compact, and single stack. They are usually under $400.

Picked up mine for $350 NIB. The only minus is the cost and availability of magazines ($50).

1. Bersa BP9cc
2. LC9s (not LC9, had one, sold it due to trigger)
3. Kahr CW9\P9 (sold it after I bought the BP9cc)
4. Keltec PF9 (sold it, too much recoil for my taste)
5. Did I mention the BP9cc?

IMHO the BP9cc is a great gun, heavy enough for quick follow up shots and small enough to conceal well in a kydex AIWB holster. It also conceals well in a hybrid at the 4 o'clock position.

I am a big fan of the trigger on my Walther PPS. It has one of the best triggers on a single stack CCW 9mm that I've experienced. I also like the trigger of the Kahr PM9. It has a longer trigger pull, but it is smooth, with a crisp break.

Don't get me wrong. I love my Shield, but I don't think it has a "Great trigger" It's decent and does the job. Miles better than my original LC9.

Get the LC9s Pro now before they're all backordered. I'm not a Ruger guy, but this gun is a homerun for me, when am cool carrying 9mm. It's now my EDC cause of size, smoothness, accuracy, trigger, and value. As far as the other four fav's I've carried, they're listed below (in order of my preference):

Sig P938 - Great little lightweight gun that was my go-to. Night sites a plus. Beaver tail bugged me a bit driving is it's only negative!

Sig 290RS- DAO that is fairly light but heavier than 938 w/Night sites and bigger mag extended cap/grip option.

Shield (I have .40 version) - slim and fairly light but larger/heavier than 938

Kahr CM9 (I have .40 version but I, personally, don't care for trigger so it got the boot) - It is biggest bang for size - slim and light - .40 version extremely snappy - way more than glock 27.

Sig P938 right out of the box is all you need.

Both of my Shields in 9mm hit where you point them. The triggers are definitely not match grade, but are acceptable for self defense duty.

Just picked up a lc9s this weekend at the gun show. Have not fired yet but wearing it around the house practicing carry with it and I am impressed. No issue flicking the safety off during my draw from 5 o'clock iwb. Trigger is wonderfully light and crisp. Can't wait to take it to range and break it in. Also nice that it does not come with any shipping grease. Ready to fire out of the box. I mean I have not shot it yet and I may have to rethink my love of da/sa trigger.

Star BM9

Some one mentioned the Star Model B already, but you might want to add the Star BM9 to your list. They typically have a very good trigger IMO.

I'm of a similar mind as Cheapshooter. If I didn't have a Kahr PM9, I'd have already picked up a LC9s if I was looking for that size (That little "s" is VERY important for a good trigger, to me). If I was looking for something slightly larger in a single stack, I'd jump to the Sig P239.

Not a currently cataloged gun, but I like the SIG P225.
This is a single stack 8+1 9mm.
The SIG P6 was a similar gun, with some minor differences.
I wouldn't know if the triggers felt the same, however.
I believe one might think if the P225 as a predecessor to the P239 as the P239 came out after.
The P239 is still currently in SIG's line-up.

Sig P239. A little on the heavy side, meaning well made.

I could never, in my life, try to figure out why so many people dog on the 239 because of goofy reasons like it doesn't hold enough rounds. The 239 was one of the first Sig ever designed, from the start, to be a carry piece. I have always laughed at people who think it should hold more rounds or be lighter. There is no free lunch.

The 239 shoots almost as good as some of the smaller full size pistols yet is fairly easy to conceal, with the right holster, compared to some larger pistols that hold more rounds. The 228/229 is not a whole lot bigger if you really believe more rounds are necessary.
