Like a Brand More than You Realized?

I have more

Springfield armory that oter brands ,2 1911s a Gi and a loaded, 2 XD9s full size and a sbu compact, S&W 696, Rugger 44 mag, Tauras 357 revolver, and a PT 1911, oh and a Ruger 380 pocket pistol. Browning 22lr. and a berrita 45 colt clone. Springfield just appeals to me. But I research and price shop to. My rifles are Henery S&W.

I don't really consider myself brand-loyal at all, but tend to like certain specific models, as others have mentioned about themselves. If I had a good experience with a company, I am likely to look at other guns in their line, but happily look around until I find something that really catches my eye.

I have to say though, one company that has really surprised me about how much I ended up liking them was Glock. My first experience was with my dad's Glock in 357 SIG, which I didn't care for. I considered them when buying a pistol of my own when I turned 21, but none of them felt right. I then happened across the Glock 36, which felt much better in my hand (due to the slimmer magazine) and dropped the money on it. I happily carried it for a few years, but it has since been replaced by my Sp101 for the mostpart. Every time I think about getting a new 1911 or something, I think about selling off that Glock that I don't really use anymore. Its bland, I can't get custom grips for it, its all black... just boring. But then I take it out and shoot it, suddenly I remember how much I like it. Its functional, and I like the trigger on it.

For some reason, I don't want to like the Glocks, but I can't help it.

Yea, definitely. I try to look at everything when buying a new gun but when I look in the drawer, there is a predominance of Beretta. To the extent that I passed on a really nice INOX 92FS because I already had a lot of Berettas (and 9mm's) and swore the next gun would be something else. Now I wish I had bought the Beretta!!!

I never intended to tie myself to a brand, but I have 3 Beretta handguns. A 9mm 92FS, a .22 U22 Neos and a Stampede in .45 Colt. Every one of them is a blast to shoot. My family doesn't own guns, but my finance's family does and they have a Beretta shotgun, a Brigadier 92 9mm, and a 9000. They are all good shooters (but I really hate the 9000, I am a big dude and I think the trigger pull is ridiculously heavy.)

The next Beretta product I want is a Cheetah in .380 ACP. They are a sweet looking gun, and I think if I got one I would want it to be a CCW eventually. I almost bought one a few months back, but the price held me at bay. IIRC they wanted about $780 for it. No doubt it's well made, but it seemed steep for a pea shooter.

CZ
I know a lot of people like them on the internet, but when it's your own money there is always that worry. I bought a 75BD and it was really nice surprise. I then bought the kadet kit for it, another home run. Now I want a CZ97. I think I might be hooked.

Yeah...

I have Colt and Ruger revolvers. But I have many more S&W. Not by design; more just by "this one looks and feels right" and the price was decent at the time.

My first Sig was a shot in the dark. P229 elite stainless steel.

It really grew on me and I ended up buying 4 more.

I bought a CZ after hearing my friend rave on them. I had a little work done on the first one (SP01) and liked it so much, I got a 97 and had some work done on that.

Those two brands really perform well. The Sigs are finished better but the CZs will get the job done.

Ill buy whatever brand has the firearm that fits my needs. But with that being said I own more smith & wessons and rugers than anything.

"Older" Revolvers? I Started buying Rugers and now I am obsessed with anything that was made before I was born... Go figure?

For me it's definitely Sigs. I have shot other fine pistols (FN, Beretta, HK, Walther, etc), but no other brand ever grabbed me like Sig. A lot of it has to do with ergonomics - most Sigs fit my hand like a glove. The performance and quality are outstanding.
