Lieberman, Gore Promise No New Gun Laws

Dizz was right. He didn't say anything about new laws, but that "law abiding gun-owners" won't be affected.

Follow me here...

If I am currently a law-abiding gun owner, and they modify/add/delete gun related laws, then I have a choice to remain a law-abiding gun owner:
i.e, 1)not be a gun owner
2) not be law abiding or
3)keep what guns I can under the new laws and keep my law-abiding gun owner status

sooooooo......

If they keep changing the laws, and I keep voluntarily modifying my behaviour to stay law-abiding, then they haven't taken anything away from me, have they ? If you can be defined as law-abiding, you're not losing any rights, by definition you've already surrendered your rights.

Well put, RH.
The issue is not about law abiding gun owners.
What we need are officials, judges and legislators that are faithful to their oaths to the Constitution, both state and federal. The porblem never has been the citizens of this country.
Vote Bush tomorrow.

THEY, might not impose any new laws. However, the justices they appoint including members of their cabinet and other federal offices WILL. Maybe like the highway extortion - "improve clean air, etc., etc., or we will not fund highways, etc., etc.

Count on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Gore/Lieberman will slither back into the festering hole they wallow around in tomorrow night the losers they know they are. America will not elect these lying vermin. How can I be sure? Because it is our destiny, that's how!

VOTE BUSH!!!!!

Gunowner bets me that Gore won't increase gun control. Honest to gosh. This die-hard, gun-owning, anti-EPA, backwoods redneck is voting for Gore. He bet me that during Gore's first term, there won't be any federal legislation that infringes on our right to keep and bear arms - no taxes on ammo or guns, no registration, no bans on guns or ammo, no more qualification requirements to buy guns or ammo, etc. We did agree to cut Gore some slack for laws against gun use in crimes.

Easiest $20 that I will make ( if Gore wins ) .

Gore said, I believe in the second debate, that he would do nothing to take away the rights of legitimate hunters, sportsmen, and rifle owners. I'm paraphrasing, but there is no question that he said "rifle owners". I'm getting old and feeble-minded, but as I remember, handgun owners still have rights under current gun laws.

Q: How can you tell that a politician is lying?

A: His lips are moving.
