Liberal Courts and 2nd Amendment

This is worth discussing but you can't say the "L" word here so I not sure how long this will last. You should have come up with a title that was a lie but acceptable. Can't tell the truth as to the real problem we face (the "L" word). You also may be "guilty" of "drive-by" post as you don't provide much info on article which is too bad as it is worth discussing - in an acceptable way. You need to read the rules on posting and change the title to "Courts and the Second Amendment" so the P.C. contingent is not offended.

This elitist sentiment continues today. As anti-gun journalist Robert Sherrill admits in his book The Saturday Night Special (1972), the Gun Control Act of 1968 was “passed not to control guns, but to control Blacks, and inasmuch as a majority of congress did not want to do the former but were ashamed to show that their goal was the latter, the result was that they did neither.”

ETA: Also it mentions that the Gun Control Act uses the Commerce Clause as justification for its authority, but (as I've said before) the 2nd Amendment amends the CC just as it amends the rest of the Constitution -- thus specifically exempting the government from regulating arms. So the GCA in its entirety is unconstitutional.
