Liberal Air America files for bankruptcy protection

Alright, I'm going to have to close this down for straying off topic.
Nice try guys, but I just can't let this one keep going, especially since I have NO idea what a "runcible" spoon is, but it sounds dangerous.

So, Closed for.... Oh wait, there's already a moderator here, and I'm not a mod so I can't close it anyway. :D :D :D

Carter, with tongue firmly in cheek.

Yup. The really sad part is that they owe Al Franken over $300K.

The really sad part is they agreed to pay Al Franken any amount of money at all in the first place. You could get the same level of veracity and clarity disseminated by hiring a spraypaint huffer to babble over the radio for the cost of a couple of cans of Rustoleum.

I may be a bit different, but I like to hear what the others are up to, so I occasionally listen to Air America (1310 AM in Metro Detroit area).

It's no more truth and/or lies than Limbaugh, just the other side.

If you want real fantasy, tune in to the Bob Dutko Show, 103.5 FM. This guy believes dinausaurs were on the ark! You talk about a dangerous Theocracy, this guy makes Bush look like a heathen.

Kowboy, I agree with you about listening to the other side. I listen to Public Radio to get the views of the left, to keep up with what they are planning, and to try and get an idea of what the far right is planning, I listen to the right wingers.

The shameful fact is, I've been listening to them all for over thirty years, and none of them ever give evidence that they still believe there are constitutional protections which still exist.

Both the left and the right try to pitch the idea that only by electing their product will we be "okay" when in the meantime, both parties chip away our rights with each Congressional Session, and with each Chief Executive we unfortunately have to choose to try to endure for four years.

Well said, GC.

OK I know I'm probably going to get this locked down, but I am just dying to find out exactly how KOWBOY knows what was or was not on the ark. Well How do you know? I bet I know the answer.

Air America was not "liberal" (even IF the hosts called themselves that). That term has zero meaning anymore. The term "conservative" doesn't mean anything either. The minute these phony "conservatives" came along who call themselves "neo conservatives," the previous meanings of "liberal" and "conservative" were thrown into the blender.

Air America catered to a certain style of LEFTIST that was a little bit farther left than the current crop of americans (who are on the left and don't realize it).

Most americans have a totally incorrect political spectrum in their minds. The federally controlled "education" system has taught most americans that fascism is on the RIGHT when it is ACTUALLY ON THE LEFT WITH IT'S SISTER IN SOCIALISM. The TRUE occupants of the "right" are first the federalists who wrote a constitution that was very EASILY abused. THEN another pace to the right, you have the ANTI federalists like Patrick Henry (and myself). If you take several more paces to the RIGHT, you have the beginnings of anarchy then full blown anarchy.

The media perpetuates the LIE that george W. bush is either on the "right" or the "far right" (neither of which is true). Bush is very much on the LEFT, and in several ways, could be considered to be of the LEFT of bill clinton (massive expansion of federal power, destruction of habeas corpus, out of control federal spending etc etc).

Big:

If I insisted that the earth were flat or even held up by four pillars as the Bible says, you have overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary. You may reasonably say that I'm nuts. (I am a gun-nut.)

It's the same with this religious broadcaster. He's a young-earther. Thinks the universe is no more than six-thousand years old or so, hence t-Rex on the ark. He wants religion, a.k.a. Intelligent Design, taught in public schools. Obviously overwhelming scientific evidence has no effect on his opinions.

At least he supports 2A,

Kowboy
