LI, NY: AK-47 saved this person's property& maybe his life when burglars broke in!

I work hard and still have a hard time providing for my family.

Ever been robbed? I have, twice.

I'm sad those guys aren't dead.

This doesn't mean I would execute someone who posed no threat to me. Still, if somebody breaks down my door, or is "found" in my house, they are most likely going to get shot. I'm not going to waste alot of time wondering if they have bad intent. They showed enough intent for me by breaking into my house.

I'm also not going to shoot someone in the back, like my neighbor did a few years back. He came to the aid of an old lady, one house over, who found a teen breaking into her house. When he showed up to help, the kid turned around and said to the lady, "I'll be back", then fled. My neighbor shot him in the back, putting him in a wheel chair. He was LE, off duty, and is now in prison. We live in CO, but make my day doesn't mean you can shoot somebody running away.

If you don't live in the woods, an AK is a terrible HD weapon. Get a shotgun or a reliable pistol and train with it.

These two must be seriously mental, to break in to a house, knife in hand!

They will get more education on the right way to do that in prison.

I am willing to bet though, every time they hear a door slam, or some one drop a book on the floor, for at least the next few years, they poo their pants!

I gotta agree with several posts above...AK's and AR's (in all their glorious variations) are EVERYWHERE on Long Island. Every gun shop I frequent has them lining the walls. In fact I was at a range not 2 hours ago, and the two guys shooting at the points next to me had a total of 3 ARs and 2AKs between them. I didn't ask, but none of the guns looked like they had enough miles on them to have been around pre-ban. And judging by the number of reports I was hearing, I don't think that they were stopping to reload after only 10 rounds either.
