Lever gun for HD??

Lever guns slow to reload? With a lever gun you can cover your target with one in the chamber and feed more ammo into the loading gate as you get low on ammo. Sure its not like having a semi auto with 20 or 30 rounds, but not likely to get labeled an evil assault rifle when you pull it from your truck or car.
Makes for a low cost backup gun. I will take a Marlin 44 mag or 30 30 over an SKS any day. My first choice would be my Colt 223 or one of my AK47's, but the lever gun makes for a good backup to my hand guns.

I'm partial to the Winchester 94 myself and might look into a nice Trails End as my first purchase of 2006.

Mine is a Kel Tec Sub2000 in 9mm...it kind of resembles an AR15

in the S&W magwell configuration...30 rounders are everywhere...

Never seen any pistol mags over 20 rounds that were reliable.

Lever action is just fine. Here is a question with only 1 correct answer- there are 25 guns on a table, all makes, models and action types. All common calibers are represented, which one do you grab to fight off the bad guy? The CLOSEST!
