Leupold canted reticle issue

If you don't mind me asking what was the installation error? I am about to install my first non rimfire scope this weekend, your scope education could greatly benefit others , mainly me. In return I'll admit to riding a moped to pick up a fat chick.

Nothing like the walk of shame... The rings were unevenly tightened and caused the scope to cant. Given my "experitse" I wouldn't be the one to ask for leveling a scope. I didn't pick it up and made a hasty post. Fortunately, my buddy noticed it before I sent back a perfectly good scope.

FWIW,among friends,it is an inside joke:When a buddy is showing a new toy,or when I am showing a new toy,we nearly always advise:"The scope is a little crooked"
The owner will then,of course,agonize over whether or not it IS crooked.
Just cruel!
