realistic targets tend to have a bit more "impact".
Two cylinders' worth of DA hot .357 mag loads at 15 yards with my 686-4...
Same picture pulled back to show the .45 ACP (Ruger P345) COM shots. Notice how the 1400 fps .357 shots are perfect little circles, the 800 fps .45 shots tend to tear the paper up a bit.
Hey Chris, are you talking about the gun, or yourself?
Nice shooting by all you guys! Okay, here's a target I shot recently with one of my very first batches of reloads, at 7 yards, from my DA S&W 64, unsupported:
Here's my target from my last range visit. 25 rds at 21 ft with my STI Ranger II 45ACP. Each square is 1/2 in. I've been practicing with my new Chiappa 1911-22 and my trigger control with the 45 has gotten much better. At 62 my hands aren't as steady as they used to be.
Still getting used to the sights on the STI. Haven't settled on a defensive ammo brand yet so haven't filed the front sight down yet, stringing is the result.
I went out this afternoon with my CZ 75BD and my Ruger LCP. Here's the first target using my CZ and shooting 10 remanufactured 9mm 115 gr FMJ rounds @ 10 yards. There are 4 shots through the orange center circle.
This next one is with my Ruger LCP at 5 yards. I shot 17 rounds that were all on the target except for three flyers and they hit low...
The sight radius is so short on the LCP and the sight is almost non-existent. So, I thought this was a good result.
That's the most impressive shooting I see in this thread. I own a Model of 1903 myself and while it's surprisingly easy to shoot, I know how hard it is to hit something with one. Nice shooting
Score 94xx 25 yards slow fire (how else do you shoot a muzzle loader?) unsupported one hand hold. In NMLRA matches, the center of the bullet hole must touch a scoring ring to count as a hit on that ring.
