With the number of websites out there, it is hard to find "the one" with good prices and reliable, does anyone have some suggestions on websites to buy ammunition for a 40 cal. S&W that ins't like going to leave a huge hole in the wallet?

Good luck

The Cheapest I have seen recently is about 30-33 cents a round when buying 1000+ and thats just the way it is right now. I mean I could be wrong, and if I am, someone please let me know as well

I found a box of 50 the other day for 12 bucks. That's 24 cents a round. It was 180 grain fmj of Blazing Brass. I am weary of brand names that I'm nor familiar with, and I advise others to be as well. However, I lit off the whole box without a misfire, so I can't say anything negative.

Blazer Brass is decent ammunition. It's made by CCI, which is affiliated with Speer, a famous name when it comes to ammunition.

www.tds-us.com this is now who i use for everything, and they ship within a day or 2.No back ordering. In fact last week i bought 3 boxes of .38 federal classic jhp 50 round boxes for 19.00 a box,and 2 boxes of 180 grain ranger sxt's .40 cal for 28.50 a box of 50

Blazer Brass is far from being an "unfamiliar" name in ammunition. This is the bargain retail brand for the CCI/Speer. It is not remanufactured ammunition, just inexpensive ammo.

I order my .40 cal from outdoor world. you can get a 250 round yellow box of remmingtons for 74 bucks plus shipping. That same box is 94 bucks at cheaperthen dirt.com. Just use those for target practice at the range and have had not one missfire in them in my Taurus pt 101:)

Ended up with a couple of 250 round boxes of "Ultramax" , they had $64.99 on the box.
They shoot fine except it is a little embarassing , they put out so much smoke it's like I'm shooting a blackpowder gun.

When searching for cheap practice ammunition for .40 S&W, I like using the following search term: "9mm".

If you want cheap ammunition... don't buy a .40 S&W.

That's right; if you want the best, you'll have to pay a bit extra.
