Question, flusher... Isn't select-fire illegal in CT, and machineguns have to be full-auto only?

Explain this please.

If I understand CT state law correctly, the legislature there tried to ban machineguns, but instead of defining a machinegun as a gun that shoots >=2 rounds with one trigger pull, they defined a machinegun as being select-fire. Well, if it's full auto only, technically it's not select-fire.
