Lee Hand press

I reloaded 12 years before I got a tumbler. If you're on a budget you can do as I did; when inspecting a case (you'll inspect every case, right?) I just wiped it with a solvent (mineral spirits) dampened rag. Nope no scratched, ruined dies, and yes, I could spot any defects. There are also home recipes available for case cleaning and most are done with regular household items. Here's one (kinda dorky video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8vJ7MiHAuI

Another place to find good homemadeshooting/gun procucts;

I don't own a tumbler. I use the "wash" method. I decap with a universal decapping die then wash the brass. There are various recipes on the net using vinegar, salt, and dish soap but I use auto wash & wax instead of dish soap. This deposits a tiny wax residue on the case leaving it less subject to tarnishing.

I have loaded both .357mag and .44mag with a Lee Hand Press. Will always have a place for one.

They load ammo just fine, but don't be in a hurry.

I've had two of em. If wanting to make common hunting ammo or plinking Bench Rest ammo. Lee's Hand Press works good for either. I've reloaded 270 & 25-06 with mine. Both cartridges having either Nosler Billistic Tips or Hornady PSP seated. No problems incurred.
