Lcp plus....sand!

Don't put polymer guns in the oven!
A WD 40 spray will flush out any residual moisture AND leave a light lubricant in inaccessible areas.
 
This happened with my fathers Shield, and of course it was up to me to clean it. I had to detail strip the gun to get it all out. You might be surprised just how few parts go into these guns and how simple they are to detail strip and reassemble.

I prefer aeresol Rem Oil for applications like this.
