LCP-II: Inferior?

I love how everyone automatically assumes this will be a pocket pistol.

I want to IWB carry it. I hate giving up a pocket and it just works better in the waistline for me.
Uh, maybe because that is exactly what it is!
With IWB carry you open up the ability to carry something that might be easier to shoot, and chambered in a more powerful round. Or one with more capacity.

Hal it has been years since I handled the Browning, but I am very familiar with the trigger of a 1911. While good, the LCP II trigger is not the crisp, light trigger of a good 1911
My analogy isn't about the trigger ---it's about the safety - or lack of one & the way the LCP II is a single action & with one in the chamber is cocked and unlocked.

A High Power might be a better one to use since it lacks the grip safety of a 1911.

Anyhow ----the LCP II is not something I'd care to have to carry loaded,,,which really defeats the purpose of the thing.

Hal I understand your point. My point is that the trigger is not the same on the LCP II as a traditional SA trigger. Because of this and the trigger safety I don't believe it is any more unsafe than a Glock. And yes, I know a Glock is considered a DA trigger. That line is somewhat blurred in my opinion.

I do agree that carrying an unloaded gun is a bad idea.

I am laughing at all these comments that you can't hit anything beyond bad breath distance with the LCP. I have one of the original LCPs, post recall but before the upgraded sights, completely stock. I routinely back up to 50 yards and normally hit 5 for 6 at a B/C zone steel target.
