Last round hold open and an improved trigger (single action trigger? That what they say... Striker?) A contoured grip that may help reduce felt recoil, and better sights...
The looks are going to be subjective, but it does seem blockier and possibly more prone to snagging.
So... A couple steps forward and one back overall.
I like it too. Most complaints about LCPs over the years have been about the trigger, though the gen 2 LCPs were much better, and no last round hold open. It appears Ruger has been listening.
I like the LCP "Classic" trigger just fine. I got other complaints. the LCP II address some of that. No idea it it'd be easier on brass, but it should be easier to shoot well.
I don't love the "Ruger American" design queues... but if it feels good in the hand and shoots well, I'm in! ... or I'll buy a REALLY cheap gen 2 LCP in the meantime I wonder what the price difference will be?
If they discontinue the current model, especially at the current price, that would be a shame. It's by far the best (IMHO) .380 for the money at the moment.
Hold open and light trigger makes it a winner for me. As far as looks (kind of important to me) I think this is tougher looking but looks does not save your life. I'll wait for reviews based on experience.
My initial thought was "looks more like a hellcat II"
I have an lcp, never thought it needed a makeover. Love rugers, so I'm sure it's great, and I'll still ask to hold the first one I see, and who knows...
