LawDog's Auto Accident, Part 2

Here's the latest. Good news, but don't get complacent guys. Keep up all that positive energy and don't forget Gale McMillan's E-Card at http://www.thefiringline.com/Misc/gale/GetWell.html

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Hi Rich-
LawDog is out of the hospital, as he may have written. I had to chase him away from the computer. The doctor says we're not out of the woods yet, but that he'd done all he could do, and what remained was to prevent another infection and to heal, and Dog could do that just as well at home.

He's been asleep for hours, probably the first really sound sleep he's had in a week. I took him by to see the truck, and after being so tired of everyone telling him how lucky he was, he just looked at it and said, "I was lucky."

It's different, seeing it yourself to having someone tell you about it. He goes back Monday, probably to get the rest of the stitches out and to get more pictures taken of his head. I think they're going to use him as the prime example of Dr. Mercer's expertise, and the benefits of the
hyperbaric chamber.

It peaked him no end when the pink lady in charge of the mail told him he got more mail than everyone else all put together. We do appreciate the effort on the part of everyone in TFL more than we can ever say. But, keep up the good work; we have a long way to go.

Many, many thanks,
Anita[/quote]

Rich, LawMom, LawDog, anybody, do we have a home address for LD so we can keep those cards and letters coming?

The news that he is home is great. Hang in there Ian, get well and back to posting at TFL. Thank your Mom for keeping us updated, too.

WoooooooooooooHooooooooooooooo!!!! :D

After a week of bad news upon bad news upon bad news I finally have something to celebrate!!!! Thank the Good Lord for watching over our 'Dog...I'm so thrilled I think I may do a Happy Dance!!!

We're still pulling for you buddy...don't think that by escaping from the hospital you can escape from us! We are everywhere!

And Jim...you took the question right out of my mouth! The cards and letters don't stop just cuz the 'Dog is home! Here is a cyber oatmeal cookie for beating me to the punch! ;)

Jim-
I don't know that a snail addy's gonna be necessary. There's an unconfirmed sighting of a strange looking guy with monumental headache in the Staff Lounge.

I'm told he posted a very few words of heartfelt thanks to you all and then passed into a blissful sleep in his own bed. Give him a day or so...we can all welcome him back personally.

As Anita said, he's not out of the woods yet. But I'll be damned if each and every one of us hasn't helped make the difference! I'm really proud of Ian, and even moreso of those who rallied around him and his family. Thanks.
