Latest Newsweek Poll: 54% Want Gore to Run Again in 2004

I know I came to this late in the day, but...

Did anybody stop to realize that 95% of Newsweek's readership is illiterate dems? If you want to find a more leftist journal you'll have to go to Hanoi or Peking...

If 95% of their readership is Liberals and only 56% want Gore to run again, he's in deep Feces. :)

I don't see Hillary getting into office as president or VP. Not yet anyway. Yes I know that she won New York, but that is a pretty liberal state anyway. There is very little likelihood that her act would play well in flyover country. Besides, I think a lot of Rural conservatives are going to make more of an effort to get to the polls in the next election. Just my 2 cents.

Hillllary

Hillary has a real problem. To be a viable national player, she must move to the political center. First, she will have a real problem with faking any sort of center tendencies. Secondly, she is from a state, N.Y., where moving to the center will not be viewed kindly.

Gore is gone.

Lieberman can not be taken seriously. He has severely hurt himself.

Maybe McCain can run as a Democrat.

The Democratic party will need to look elsewhere to find a viable candidate. The real political thrust will not be looking to 2004, but rather to the off year elections. Both parties will fight for control of the legislative branch. It won't be pretty. If George W. tries to accomodate the Democrats, they will eventually turn on him and eat him alive.

Hillary ran for and won the only political office she could win. Her negatives are so high that she is not a viable candidate for any national office. She only won NY because the Reps did not run a strong candidate--Pataki would have mopped the floor with her. I do not worry about her in 2004--I worry about the congress in 2002.
