I am just really really bored at the moment. Wondering what everyone bought the last time they picked up a handgun. Are you happy with it so far? What's next?

My last was a stainless Ruger Vaq in .45 LC. Fun shooter.

My next will probably be a Glock 32 or a classic SIG in .357. Unless the Wilson on order gets finished then it will take up most of my pennies for some time to come.

Last purchase was a near mint S&W Model 58 in .41 Mag.

Next purchase will probably be some sort of .32, probably a Kel Tec if I can ever find one.

Or, if I find another older S&W for a decent price, I just can't say no to those guns...

I'm thinking J-frame, but I'll always open a place in my heart for a Model 25 in .45 Colt. :)

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

My last purchase was a Glock G32 2 weeks ago. Am very happy with the gun. Used it at a Bowling Pin shoot and when you hit the pins squarely, those suckers just fly right off the table. Ammo is a problem tho, can't go thru my regular sources locally to get ammo but a few gun ranges carry it. Gonna have to go bulk buying route I guess. Next purchase is a rifle (hopefully soon).

However, since you mentioned it, what is the recoil like? I never fired a .45 {long} Colt -- how does the recoil compare to a .40S&W? a .45ACP? a .357mag?

Anyway, on with this thread ... My last purchase was a brand new in the box S&W 1006 that a dealer had stored away in his inventory (it was obviously pre-agreement because that model hasn't been made in years). My next purchase will be a Taurus Tracker -- right now I'm trying to decide if I want the all stainless steel model or the titanium one. Living in the hot & humid Florida swamps, the titanium one would be good to have because it will never rust. However, it has a pretty good kick to it. The weight of the SS model absorbs the recoil better but even SS can eventually rust.

recoil with the "cowboy action" loads is nil, standard loads are not unpleasant, I used to have a Blackhawk in .45 LC and hot loaded it a few times, still not unpleasant, it is difficult for me to compare the recoil to other calibers as .45 LC is the only caliber I have fired in a single action revolver, the way a single action handles/directs recoil is just different than autos and DAs, to me the "plough handle" was just meant to handle stiff loadings the way it rolls in your hand

Last purchase was a CZ75B, just got it back from the gunsmith. I had Trijicons installed and a trigger job done.

Next purchase (this weekend) will be either a 70 Series Gold Cup or a Beretta M9 Special Edition.

After that I'm looking at the Dan Wesson Large Frame Pistol Package, I just can't decide what caliber, 44 Magnum or 45 Long Colt.

An H&K USP .45 Tactical -- it's promising, but still too soon (only 300 rounds through the pipe) to state with assurance that this autoloader is "super".

My last purchase was a used LNIB S&W CS45.
My next is a Springfield V12 ;)
TOOOOO many guns, not enough money :D

Happy Shooting :)

Picked up a new Taurus 85UL last weekend and was practicing on bottles by the roadside in South Texas. I'm very pleased with its accuracy, and must say it kicks pretty hard due to the light weight, though nothing unmanageable. My next purchase? I don't know. I have too many toys already and am running out of ideas, so I'll focus on accumulating more ammo to feed my toys.

My last purchase (last week) was a Kahr P9. My next (pistol) purchase will be a Glock 23.
As for my next firearm Purchase (this week) I'm picking up a Bushmaster M4 upper and a Savage 11FL in .308.

My last purchase was a Ruger P95 (used). Only one range visit so far but good. Next purchase will be a Ruger P97.

Geez... wish I had the $$$ some of you guys do. My last purchase was a Makarov. Next one will be a Ruger P97. Affordable but reliable seems to be my game lately.

My last purchase was a H&K USP Tactical. Am I happy with it? Nah, I'm selling it now. I already had one but couldn't pass up a NIB one for such a great price. I like my older one better.

I don't know what my next handgun purchases will be but I bought two rifles yesturday. Browning ABolt .30-06, synthetic stock, BOSS barrel and a Remington 700 BDL .308 win, synthetic stock, Stainless barrel. Now I need to get scopes for em today :)

My last purchase was a Glock 22C in .40 Auto. My next purchase, budget dependent, will be either a Ruger new Bearcat in .22LR, or a Glock 32 in .357 AUTO.

Damn I can't remeber my "last" purchase.. I think it was a cabela's 44 cal 1860 army "outlaw" cap and ball revolver.

Damn I better get shopping. ;)

I'd love a c-96 mauser or a colt magnum carry (sigh)

SIG 225, NIB, K-kote, night sights, 3 mags. Kind of an impulse buy, but it just felt sooo good in my hand. At least it'll use the same holsters as the 228.

Last: a Glock 17 and 20 on the same day, at a gun show, with hi-caps for both (kiss my a$$, Sarah Brady, ATF, Clinton, and all other criminal empowerers! No wait, no check, and all the firepower you could want!).

My next: either a Kimber Classic .45, a Kimber Ultra Carry, or a Glock 36. What can I say? I'm in a .45 mood.

Just found a USED (maybe 100rds) S&W 32mag Air-Lite. WOW what a nice summer carry piece. My pager is heavier than this pistol. Used pistols are becoming very expensive here in MA.
