Laser for Derringer

epoxy

"you can't solder anything to a Davis Derringer they are Zinc"
darn Bill... you had to rain on my parade. Thanks for saving me from finding that out the hard way.:D

epoxy......hmm........
I'm going to make this work one way or another....... Either by adding a laser or by making the front sight taller.

Range /Practice

So I took a walk down to the range with my D-38 and wanted to see if it shot closer to point of aim for elevation. Remember I super glued a small bead on to see what it would look like. I didn't expect it to stay on long but hoped for 3-4 shots.. i got 4....yes i had on safety glasses. Anyway I was able to shoot it to point of aim for the lower barrel, which is what i want.
Now it's time to build it up with some epoxy/jb weld and shape it and slap some orange paint on it. Once I get that done i'll post some pics compensating for the high/low barrel and see what kind of groups i get.

Finished

Finished project....

Roughed up the original front sight, shaped up some no mix no mess "Quik Steel", dabbed a little orange paint and now shoots to point of aim..... no more having to bury the front sight.

The bi-pod is a nice touch, but I'd like to see a collapsible stock on it, too. I makes the bi-pod a lot more user-friendly. ;)

Actually, the laser on a NAA Mini ain't a bad idea,,,

A friend has a .22 LR Mini,,,
He was doing good to hit the ground with it,,,
Then his wife bought him a mini-laser for a joke gift.

Now he can hit a tuna can at 15 yards almost every shot,,,
This has become the gun he stashes in his desk at his workplace,,,
His reasoning is that if anyone goes postal he might be able to get off one head shot.

Cubicle warfare at it's finest.
