Laser for Derringer

well does the derringer have that same vent rib?

you're the one with the gun, we don't know which one you're talking about...there's probably 100+ different derringers out there.

i assume it should be pretty easy to tell whether it would fit or not just by looking at the thing..

Derringer

"If that floats your boat".......yep.. it's just for fun. The pic above of the NAA however is NOT the one that has the shim and attaches to the rib. The one shown above attaches to the top strap. Here's a pic of the one i'm curious about.

A derringer is an up close and personal gun. I have a davis 38 derringer and would not even pull the trigger on a BG unless it was stuck in their gut.

Hello chack,,,

I think the same way you do,,,
But many states consider it a derringer,,,
At least as far as classifying carry weapons goes.

For example, in Oklahoma,,,
If you qualify for your CCL with a revolver,,,
You may then carry either a revolver or a derringer.

Even though the NAA Mini is a revolver,,,
Oklahoma classifies it as a derringer,,,
If you use the NAA Mini to qualify,,,
A derringer is all you can pack.

I consider a derringer to be two barreled,,,
In over-under configuration,,,
With a break open action.

But the original Deringer was a small single shot cap-n-ball,,,
I don't believe there is a definitive definition in this case.

Except this one because it is a legal definition,,
Deringer is a specific line of guns made by Henry Deringer,,,
Derringer (two r's) is a generic type of small short barreled handguns.

Very funny pictures guys and thanks for the laughs.

Small guns like derringers and the NAA guns are what I call, "up close and personal" weapons. Ever take one to the range and shoot at 7 yards? For me, they are a last resort weapon when someone is about to take your face off and you have no other place to go.

Your opinion may vary.

+1 Gunner..I have had, and still have, small 'fun toys'...in a wheelchair and don't do knives for obvious reasons. I don't wanna wait for the bad guy to bleed out. I would rather shove a .22 up the nose...short trip to the brain. They're last ditch for sure, but I love to play with the pocket guns. Easy to carry, and ya got something to shoot camping or whatever.

I guess a laser on a derringer isn't a real BAD idea, when you run out of bullets and the BG is still comming at you, you can always shoot him in the eyes with the laser and blind him while you beat feet outa there.:D:D:D

Derringer Sight

Ok how about this... my Derringer shoots straight but very high at 20ft. Adding a front bead to the front sight would fix this. Do you guys think it could be soldered on? I took a pic of a drill bit painted orange and bonded to the front sight with super glue just to get an idea.
