Landed a big S&W. What have I gotten myself into this time?

Kraigwy...I'd really like a spare cylinder (.45 LC) for that old M25 of mine ... any idea if S&W is still doing that? What a combination....I've got a Colt SAA in .45 LC (Yeah, I know the 'LC' is superfluous), to which I fitted a .45 ACP cylinder...and it's more accurate with the ACP than the original LC!...Shoots a mite low with 200 TWC's but is right on the mark with 230's. Rod

Rodfac, yes they still will do it. It's no different then replacing the cylinder of any other Smith and Wesson Revolver.

I don't remember what it cost, that was in the late 80s. It wasn't much in 80s dollars.

Ah-hhaaww!

Now I know why a 1920s S&W 5 inch NIB M21 goes for....get this...$2,500 american! My own brother thinks I won't shoot this gun, alot, once I can dig-up the remaining $2,496.33.

Have fun with that 1955. It will shoot just fine. Keep us posted on how it performs. The rest of us will be on the look-out for those that would dare drill holes in the frame of a 1955. Ha Ha.

Hey-Hey-Hey. Hold-on guys. It wasn't me.

Have had a couple of them over time. Sold them both...still kicking myself. Definitely falls in the "fun" category! IMHO, get it back to new factory condition as you can. Its a beauty.
