L.A. Police Chief Laments 'Too Many Guns'

IOW, both Jackson and Parks are more concerned with guns than with the failure of the Black Community to control and raise its children properly.

It's not the guns,it's kids raised negligently, abusively, and carelessly. It's parents who refuse to be such.

The very fact that Parks is completely avoiding the real root of his granddaughter's death means he is also ignoring the loss of her very soul.

How dare he stoop to blame a inanimate piece of metal, while of course distancing himself and his entire family from the ugly politically undesireable cause - crime, irresponsible behavior and pi$$-poor parenting skills.

The end result - "it's not my fault, it's a gun...". This "man" is a disgrace as a human being and as a family member (no need to even mention his pathetic example as a chief...).

There should be a public outcry about this. This would be a perfect opportunity for groups like the Tyranny Response Team to publicly question the chief abotu why his "lovely granddaughter" was associating with known gang mambers in a crime infested part of town.

I am deeply disgusted with this whole situation. Meanwhile, the sheeple see and believe. Baaaaa, baaaaa...

Feel free to correct me, as I'm a Easterner, and didn't get all the details of this crime, but I suspect that everything the scumbag Shabazz did was already thoroughly illegal. If I may be so insensitie to suggest that the cheif get off his duff, quit whining and profiling with Brother jesse, AND DO HIS JOB - I.E. ENFORCE THE GAWD DARN LAWS. Get out and roust the effin' gangbangers and take their illegal guns away and lock them up for firearms violations where ever applicable. I'd be happy to send him a copy of VA's Project Exile plan if he needs a clue.

From what I've read in the L.A. Times, this gang banger, Shabazz, is a career criminal: convictions for carjacking, robbery, assault...and he was free, walking the streets of Los Angeles! Why wasn't this jerkoff in the slammer where he obviously belongs? But nooooooo, Parks blames the handgun sweet Shabazz was illegally carrying and then goes on a rant about "assault weapons." The man is either an idiot or a fool or both.

FU*(#*** hypocrite. My friend is an LAPD officer. The word according to him is that the intended victim was at one time charged with homicide but charges dropped due to connection to Parks. The shooting that occur was payback.

Since former Chief Willie Williams name has been brought up it raises another question . This Rampart scandal that has rocked LAPD has brought about some interesting things . ONE : Chief Parks said that as Chief he is responsable for allowing it to happen . END OF STORY ????? Why then is he not resigning for not showing the leadership needed to run the department . Can I just "apoligize" for robbing a bank and WALK AWAY ????? Think not!!!
QUESTION TWO : This started when Willie Williams was the Chief . Not only did he leave us a mess to clean up but the City Council fell all over themselves to vote a "tip" for him when he left office . It was about three hundred and some thousand dollars given as a severance package . MORE THAN HE EARNED THE WHOLE TIME HE WORKED IN THE LAPD !!!!
I wonder if they can get it back considering they now know what a sorry Dept. he created in his tenure .Good thing they got rid of Gates . He enforced the law . How politically incorrect . It's too bad that Gangs aren't on The Stock Exchange . The way L.A. Gov't. allows them to do as they please they would be a great investment .
Is this next ? " The Stock Market closed mixed today with losers outmnumbering gainers just slightly . Crips closed up 3 1/2 while Bloods were up just 3 . Gangs as a whole did well on the news of a lawsuit filed by a gang member against a L.A. Police officer that looked at him in a disparaging way from his patrol car . The gang member is suing for mental cruelty , loss of self respect , lowered self esteem and is claiming that his friends may think he is less than a man after this harrowing experience .The L.A.P.D. has already fired this officer for Civil Rights violations concerning this case . This pleased Mayor Jesse Jackson . He and the City Council are presently trying to raise taxes to pay this victim . Along with , what Mayor Jackson calls GOO GOBS of money , The City Council is planning even more compensation . They have voted to declare every day " Gang Banger Day " in Los Angeles ."

How can Jesse Jackson and others like him actually benefit from healthy communities of prosperous individuals? These are the kinds of people most uninterested in radical politics. They have nothing to offer him.
