Knight's Armament "Triple Tap" Muzzle Brake

I run a suppressor myself (Ops 16th Model) that uses the muzzle brake/mount as the blast baffle. The idea is that it is better off to replace an $80-100 muzzle device instead of replacing an $800 suppressor due to baffle erosion. And it is tough to argue with as you can already see erosion on my Ops two-port muzzle brake.

Having said that, when the muzzle brake/mount is half the price of the suppressor, I'm not sure how well the logic pans out in an economic sense. I'd need to know the price and service life of the NT4 to take a guess; but just balparking it, it looks like you'd need to be able to get 7,000 rounds from a normal steel brake/mount to beat the Triple Tap economnically.

I run a Wind Talker suppressor on a Smith Enterprise, Inc. DC brake for that reason and it works as advertised.

This conversation has really taken a great turn. I am learning a lot from you guys.

The funny thing is, I bought the KAC T3 because it looks cool and I was told by a few reputable guys that it's the best at dampening the perceived recoil. That's it. It's really that simple. One of the guys did say that a suppressor fits on the end, but I didn't really care.

But now listening to you guys who are gun smart, I can appreciate the technology and expense that goes into these amazing weapons.

Thank you for sharing....

Nothing wrong with buying something that's aesthetically pleasing to you especially since its your gun. I love the KAC triple tap just can't justify the price
