Kimber Pro CDP and Glock 30

The last time I priced the two weapons at a gun store the Kimber Pro CDP listed for 1295. and the Glock 30 for 599.00
Ford is right the Kimber is thinner and more accurate off a ranson rest, but for combat purposes that degree of accuracy is lost due to most common circumstances of a CCW situation, ie. shooting by hand, high stress and you should be on the move to cover or already there.

A Kimber Custom Classic is $589 just saw it today. The Kimber Custom Classic Stainless is $686. Those are the only two that I can remember a price on.

If you need the name and number of the dealer just e-mail me at arrackman@aol.com

A Kimber-owning friend of mine just telephoned me and said that if he could find anybody that'd give him $450 for his Kimber Custom Classic, he'd sell it today. He says, "It sure ain't a Glock!"

If the Kimber has an edge in accuracy all you have to do is buy a Barsto barrel for your Glock and it will be way more accurate then the Kimber and still cheaper. You'll also have 2 barrels.

1911Ford,

A Kimber Custom Classic and a Kimber PRO CDP are two different animals. You probably won't find a CDP for under a grand. Sorry, but you're comparing the wrong models. No flame intended, just clarifying. :)

I know I don't know if people understand that A Kimber can BE HAD for under $600. I know the CDP is more. I like Glocks to don't get me wrong. They are great guns. It is just now I am so used to shooting 1911's that a Glock feels huge when I hold it. I can controll a 1911 so much better. Son may be right when he said a Glock 36 maybe a good compromise.
