Kimber--Automatic (almost)

Only 2 out of 200 with a BRAND NEW 1911 isn't bad at all.
After you fire about 500 rounds start your counting for failures... You should have somewhere around NONE.

OK, it's the extractor which has been responsible for throwing the brass back in my face.

The factory extractor is so out of spec it's not even funny--hooked cartridges ride at least 0.05" off the breech face and can be rattled around there. No amount of bending the extractor will fix this since it is just waaaaay too long.

Too bad Kimber couldn't get this key 1911 component right.

BTW--Since I was getting an Aftec extractor anyway, I'm not going to ask Kimber to make it better on my gun--I just hope that they'll make it better on future guns...
