I am visiting that board right now...and I think I am going to be sick. Literally. Who does she think she is? Obviously the saviour of the world! Yup, in all her glory she is going to save the world from the gun-toting madmen. Where does she get off?! She is saying that what she "believes" is better than what the Constitution demands!

She is irrational. She asserts that taking guns away will stop violence. So here it is:

Removing guns elimantates violence.

Now for the life of me, I cannot decide whether that is her premise or conclusion -- the whole darn thing is so circular!

If it is a premise, than....

1) People with guns kill

True -- all "good" lies have a bit of truth in them

2) People without guns don't kill

That's obviously WRONG! People have been killing other people long before guns came along.

3) Removing guns will stop people from killing

4) So it must be the guns that are responsible for the killing -- not humans. (I'll take this to it's logical, forced conclusion in a bit)

Guns are inanimate objects with no mind and no will. The cannot act on their own. They must be coerced by an outside force. So -- guns don't kill. The reasoning she uses is faulty.

If it is the guns that are responsible such as the type of reasoning (the type that every anti uses) than a very queer statement is found. If the guns are responsible, than the people aren't. So why are we punishing the people...and not the guns? From Rosie's reasoning, what should be done is the guns taken away and punished and the people given a sympathy card for being forced into a traumatizing situation in which they had a piece of metal make them kill another human. Then, after the gun has completed it's rehabilitation punishment, it should be returned to the traumatized individual as a "new-gun" worthy of ownership. Again, a sympathy card sent to the individual for the trauma. Or, if the gun is too stubborn to be rehabilitated, a new gun (one that won't force the individual into anything) should be given to the individual. Another sympathy card sent now for the loss of the first gun.

I am not the brightest bulb on the tree and I can spot this faulty logic. So what the heck is wrong with every anti out there? They must be completely, 100% imbeciles. And being thus, they should not even be trusted with the responsibility of feeding themselves.

Guys, anti's are not only aggravating -- they're idiots!

The people are smart enough to go register to vote. That is as smart as the liberals need them to be or want them to be. Just remember if they vote 51 to 49 to get rid of the 49s guns, is tough luck fellow. On other hand democracy in action is 49 saying if you want them come and get them, but they are loaded. On other hand only have to shoot 3 and ask for recount. :D
 
Think I will join the rosie forum to see how long it takes me to get kicked off by just using the plain truth and hard facts.

Sorry Okie, have to disagree with you. They don't want them that smart to be able to register to vote. That's why in CA now, when you go to the DMV to register a car or get a divers license you are automatically registered to vote. They want them just smart enough to make it down to the polling booth and pull the lever that they tell them to.

I posted a couple of times over there, then the boards got yanked. I guess they didn't like the viewpoints expressed by the RKBA crowd..
 
Here's my latest, under name "gelatinoushostess". I keep signing on with a new name as fast as they throw me off.
Title of this thread is: Rosey at MMM: An eyewitness report.

Rosey wasted no time in getting things off to a bang. Holding aloft a 4-ft chocolate mouse sign-cake, as long as a human torso, with the word "gun violence" scripted on it, she sybolically downed the whole thing in front of on-lookers. This showed amazing dedication to the cause, as it was about 40 lbs of finished chocolate. The event WAS sponsored by Dunkin Heinz. Then, wielding a 55-gallon drum of franks and beans titled, "NRA Influence", Rozie courageosly chug a lugged the whole concoction. Yes, there WAS some spillage, and a general stir when rosey swatted a seagull that tried to steal some of the scraps. Winking at hillary, Rosey smiled big and proud, and said that the seagulls would now floss her teeth (couldn't figure that one out). Rosey was heard to belch loudly to the tune of "We shall overcome", before the real entertainment began. Manipulating the rolls of fat on her abdomen into the shape of a face, rosey "threw her voice" and gave a hilarious Charleton Heston impression! Rosey was fassionably dressed by the latest from Ringling Bros, and Barnum and Bailey. The brightly colored dress from their "big top" collection was a hit. Rosey ended with some good street-smart advice for her followers. "I'm proof that you don't need a gun. If a rapist confronts me, I just MOON him. It works every time for me!!!". Good advice, Rosey.
 
Rozey's show: I hate it when...


1. She turns her head to look behind her, and it looks like there's a package of franks on the back of her neck

2. She has the "stupid pet tricks" segment and insists on teaching them how to "slip the tongue"

3. She stands up and you can see the sweat stains on her leather chair

4. She carries her pen in the cleft of her buttocks

5. She habitually CHEWS the pen

6. Rozie shows why frying pan oil is "too good to waste"

7. rozie "sweats to the oldies", well, actually she pretty much sweats to whatever is playing

8. Rozie's guests "unstick" THEIR clothes after hugging her

9. Rozie chews food with her mouth open, sitting on the can, ON THE AIR!

10. Rozie gives a new spin to the term "animal husbandry" (the manatee is STILL traumatized)
 
Let's get some things out of the way here:

1) I don't care for Rosie as an entertainer.

2) I despise Rosie's politics.

3) I support their right to have a board for their own use, without
harassment from outside - even from us.

4) In the past, we have been able to convert a few Rosie fans to support
RKBA. We didn't do it by harassing them or insulting them. We did it gently
and politely by convincing them of the right thing to do. These minor
victories were accomplished even though some folks said it was not possible.

5) I believe you are using the anonymity of the internet to masturbate your
egos at others’ expense - figuratively and literally. On a personal basis, I ask
you to knock it off. You are hurting the RKBA just for the fun of it. I find it
nothing to be proud of.

Oh, btw, don't bring up the old 1st Amendment defense. On TFL we should conduct ourselves as though we are sitting in Rich's living room. It's only fair to do the same thing among people who have different interests - such as the Rosie fans.

Seriously - Here at TFL we strive to ALWAYS take the higher ground. Not a bad piece of wisdom as SUN TZU said the same thing! ;)

If we are to go over there and post contrary information - let's do it in a way that is logical, factual, and will win people over.
Going about it in the way mentioned here is unproductive. Perhaps even counter-productive. You dont want your opinions dismissed off the cuff. You want to be heard - to get you message across.
This isnt doing the RKBA any service.

Dont go into a battle of witts unarmed... Thats all I'm saying.
