Kerry in Vietnam

That's not what I said.
'to my knowledge, Bush never committed treason.'
translation...I believe that Bush never committed treason.
'I'm not sure that the same is true of the junior senator from Mass.'
translation...unlike Bush, I believe that Kerry committed treason.

If I have to parse everything I write, it's gonna be a long summer.

I don't think either candidate is all that great, but Kerry went.

Bush didn't.

If you want to see how the system works, go on down to the National Guard recruiting office and tell them you want to fly jets.

If I had a war record like John Kerry, I'd go hide somewhere.
A man who's commanding officer had shipped back state side "Because he was not fit to be in Vietnam". And his SELF-INFLICTED war wounds.

I don't think either candidate is all that great, but Kerry went.
Then he abandoned his men on the field of battle by "virtue" of 3 Purple Hearts. 3 Purple Hearts for each of which he spent a total of ZERO days in sick-bay.

That would have been bad enough for me right there, but then he came home - got out of his COMMISSION early - to run for political office by exalting himself as an American Hero in what is arguably the most marxist state in the Union. He went nowhere running that campaign, despite the fact that his campaign was replete with reels and reels of home movies that he made his men shoot as he swaggered on the field of battle. Hmmmm.... what to do?

So he re-invented himself, and became a "Vietnam Veteran Against the War", and lo and behold, the marxist bastards of the People's Demoratic Communewealth of Massachew****s LOVED him, and made him their hero.

So then, having found his niche, he proceeded to ensure that America would abandon her brave men and women in the field - just as Kerry had done - and ensured that those brave men and women (fortunate enough to return home) would catch hell from their so-called fellow Americans for decades to come.

He went all right.

:barf:
