Nice collection! Mind telling me a couple of things, like is your 686 a 7-Shot or just 6? And what caliber is that Desert Eagle? Thanks for sharing .
Take care.
Dan Wesson Action Cup. 38 Special only, red dot scope, ten-ton barrel shroud
Manurhin Special Police F1. Licensed copy of a Ruger Speed-Six. Differs from the true Ruger by having a side plate for access to the internals, the barrel is different and the butt had a lanyard attachment point. I have since replaced the black rubber grip of the F1 on top with one from a Speed-Six.
Hmm....I'm new at this image-posting thing, having only recently recieved my full "Member" status (how does the ranking system work anyway?). I'm not sure why my image didn't open.
Here is a couple of pictures of what is now my oldest centerfire revolver. It's an early Dan Wesson .357mag, model D-11 with a serial number of 5XXX that I bought third hand over a quarter century ago. We've been through thousands of rounds together. Notice that it has an exterior barrel nut rather than the hidden style of the next generation. For it, I also have the original box; owner's manual; barrel/grip wrench tool; feeler gauge; two barrel housings; two barrels (2 1/2" & 4"); and three different one piece grips (1-standard & 2 combat).
The only modification I made was to the left side of one combat grip to allow the use of speed loaders. (As can be seen in photo.)
I love this revolver and made a promise to myself a long time ago not to ever part with it. So far so good and it's been easy.
Hey, thanks Capt Charlie! Maybe you can answer another question for me: now I'm a "Member,", instead of "Junior Member." What are the criteria? I'm guessing it's number of posts or the like, but I'm curious.
Anyway, much appreciated.
