My trusty Remington 870 and my 3 handguns (left to right) Glock 19, Springfield Armory 1911A1 Mil-Spec, and Ruger SP101 357 Magnum 2.25"

The lesson is... be careful what you ask for.

When I posted this thread in 2005 I never figured it would still be lingering around now.

The pistol I posted is now considered one of my "old" favorites.;)

My 1953 Chief's Special built on the old Improved I-Frame on the left and a 1958 Chief's Special built on the now standard J-Frame on the right.

Notice the shorter grips and smaller trigger guard on the '53.

This time the '58 is on the left and the '53 is on the right.

The finish imperfections are just the sunlight reacting with the Boeshield coating. Both are in quite good condition.

That's a nice rifle, I don't think anyone will mind:D

I've never shot a .303 (I suppose it is one?). How's the recoil compared to similar rifles in .30-06 or 8x57?

Yep .303 Brit. It does kick some. I'd place just a tad below the 8mm Mauser and the 30-06. But it is hard to judge. The Jungle Carbine is shorter and lighter (about 8 pds) than a standard mil surp rifle. It's a good woods rifle, small and fast. Norma makes a good load for it.

My (new to me) P-1...with minty holster. Don't need no stinkin' hi-viz, polymer frame, 17-shot....keepin' it old school...<huh>

Springfield GI 45.
Replaced hammer (old Colt wide spur), thumb safety (WWII stub type) and grips (used WWII Keyes plastic).
I prefer the old look. Its practical too.:)

Very nice picture; I love the old-fashioned duotone look.

Interesting holster, bdcbbq, who made it?

I also like the P99, but will not get the one that shoots depleted uranium bullets from titanium cartridge cases ("War" reference, for those not seeing the current movie)

There's a link in the post or click below. I like the holster. Its my first one. I bought it to get a feel for whether I prefer IWB or OWB. So far it works well with both. I'm going to get one for my Glock 30 too. I've also bought 2 belts from them.
