Kahr 9mms

I had a Kahr PM9 for several years. No issues or malfunctions at all. I really liked the trigger on it. It was a long but smooth pull. I could shoot 2.5” groups with it at 20 yards. If I used +P ammo the recoil increased and the groups opened up. Only downside was my wife could not cycle the slide.

Kahr is in Worchester MA.

I've owned a few Kahrs, eight all total, most of them 9mm. I hate to say that I've had some not so good experiences. A couple had feed and eject issues, one had lightstrikes, two models broke followers and one experienced a broken trigger bar. This is all over thousands of rounds but compared to some other brands, the Kahrs have just never performed up to a level I could trust. Of the eight only one, a T9, never gave me trouble. Therefore I relegate them to range gun status only.

The current prices on some of the polymer Kahrs are very good and one may want to chance a buy. Just know they are not perfect. My personal favorites are the TP9 and K9.

My brother carries a CM9. When he first shot it, the mag follower broke. The shop gave him another mag, which also broke. Shipped the gun back to Kahr and they fixed it and gave him a new mag. No problems since and he loves it.

I've owned two Kahr's. The first was a CW40. Light, great trigger, compact and it fit my hand perfectly. A real delight to carry. The only downside was that it was terribly unreliable. The slide would lock back with rounds still in the magazine. It wasn't just me since it also did it with two other experienced shooters. I sent it back to Kahr either two or three times with no improvement. Away it went with full disclosure to the new owner.

The positives of the CW40 lead me to give Kahr another chance. I bought a K40. It has all of the positives of the CW40 (except the weight) and it's been 100% reliable. As a result it's one of two primary carry guns.

Another happy CM9 owner.
Mine has been 100% reliable, accurate for what it is, and actually kind of fun to shoot.
Kahr recommends a 200 round break in, but mine was perfect from first round to what now is over 500.

Not a 9mm but my K40 (all steel) has been perfect since it first came out of the box. It also surprises me how accurate it is. It shoots like a larger pistol for me.

I have 3 CW9's and a CM9, trust my life to them. Very slim and compact, for me 100% reliable. I had a CW9 that shot very low, I traded it off and bought another. Simple to operate, no exterior furniture besides the slide release, and the CW9 fits my hand like a little mini 1911.

I have a cw9 with over 1k (probably 2k but like conservative estimates) trouble free rounds. Trigger is good, and its very easy to carry. I recommend.

I have a T9. It is a very well made and accurate pistol. I like the trigger. It fits my hand really well. Holding it is like putting my hand in rabbit fur mittens. I think Kahr has their people spend a littl more time on the T series.
I have never figured out what to do with it though. It is pretty expensive for a range toy by my standards.
I have fired and handled a few of their other models. Never quite made the buy list.

I own the CM9. Once I got past the 100-round break-in, it has been a reliable gun. I sometimes carry it in a pocket holster.
