K98 takes a muley stag

Hornady 150 SP over 50 grains Varget, Remington brass neck sized, CCI 200 LRP's. This load comes out the barrel at 2,730 fps and is terribly accurate. Consistent 1" groups at 100 yards. The accuracy and knock down power has held up at long distances too, despite a Ballistic Coefficient of just .290. Took a antelope buck at 300 and antelope doe at 375.

I got a Muley doe with a family heirloom this year. 8X56 Mannlicher M1908. Not a former military gun, one of the civilian full stocked ones.

Just gives you a nice feeling using guns like that :D

A question, was this in the Missouri Breaks? I know a LOT of country looks like that, but I was curious.
