K 9 Recoil?

Just wish to add my voice to the chorus. I have 2 K9s and both are an absolute pleasure to shoot. They are accurate as well and have replaced my mini Glocks as preferred carry pieces.

Im gonna chime in too. I have a P-9, and I love it. My 10 year old daughter shoots it, and it was the first handgun she ever shot.

This guy at the gun shop was surely trying to sell you what he had, :D either that or he's wimpier than a 10 year old girl!!! :D

There is a local pawn/gun shop in Salt Lake that pushes the wanna be Kel Tecs...I cant remember the name...little cheap plastic guns (no slam meant to poly guns or Kel Tecs :D )
that look like Kel Tecs but are made in Phoenix, AZ. They have a different trigger guard.
Anyway...these guys are a laugh. If you ask them how they are compared to ....say an HK....the guy will tell you "HK's are a total POS, you need one of these"....everytime I go in there....its worth a great grin and laugh.
Shoot well

squire, Onslaught is on the right track. It should have read: "BULL capital S with a HIT!" The problem with Kahr pistols occurs when people with large hands, I am one, shoot the K40 model. Recoil is stiffer in that case. My E9, Economy model of the K9, is a pussy cat and well liked by me. Regards, Richard

Eric, where is that shop located? I'm in SLC and always up for a laugh.

I've got really big hands, and I'm one of those people that gets beat up a little bit. The MK40 beat up my trigger finger, and the slide would occasionally bite the web of my hand. But once again, that isn't the guns fault. I just have larger than average hands, and it is a very concealable gun that fires a hot cartridge.

The K9 is soft and easy to shoot. And hey, if it is good enough for Shaft then it is good enough for me. :p

Well I finally got my K9. Much to my surprise, none of my local dealers had one in stock. They either had the MK9, P9 or didn't have anything in stock. I found one on gunbroker.com.
I just got back from the range. I'm very impressed. It's very smooth and accurate. Just like every one on TFL said, no recoil. I only put 35 rounds through it, but will do the recommend 200 before relying on it as a carry piece.

Good man, Squire!

I'm taking my shooting tomorrow at a friend's.

I REALLY like the K9. I just wish all to hell and back that they would come out with a K45. I'd buy one of those in a heartbeat.

OH MY GOSH! (UT sware word :D ) Did your hand survive...did your need immediate first aid? How do you expect to shoot with a broken wrist? BA HA HA HA....Enjoy your gun.
Shoot well

Have you seen the new "St Provo Girl" beer bill board by downtown SLC? It says "Oh my Fetch!" Thats as bad as it gets for the straight and narrow...LOL LOVE IT.
Shoot well

Jerry,

I looked at gunsamercia.com and saw a NIB for $499. You may find a pre-owned at a nice savings. I found mine NIB at gunbroker.com

I was at the range yesterday with two of my daughters.
The 14 year old has been shooting for a while.
Somehow, my other daughter has reached the ripe old age of 24 without her Dad ever taking her to shoot.
(Bad Dad! Bad, bad, Dad!)

Both shot the MK9 for the first time.
They loved it!
No "limp wrist" failures.
No broken bones. ;)
