Just sold the last of my guns

Been there brother... been there. :(

You gotta do what you gotta do. You'll build your kit back up... might take some time, but you'll get there.

Best of luck to ya',

Hard times are here. Find some more assets you no longer need and sell them, too, get some cash ahead. Get a job if you don't have one, any job will do.

No luck involved, it's hard work. Hope you make it.

I feel your pain. I have been there and done that also. It was very painful but I had to do it for my family. That was in 1980. I have over the years replaced some of my guns and bought a few new ones. I would still like to replace a s&w stainless snub nose 38, a s&w model 29 44 mag and a ruger bearcat. These have been hard to find at a decent price.

Same here. Lost my job 3 years ago and sold all my firearms. It was a difficult decision but had to do it. Found employment and have SLOWLY begun to purchase again, this time buying the best I can afford - quality not quantity this time.

Best of luck.

Even though you had to sell some off you had the presence of mind to keep what you may ultimately need for your survival. Over the years I've had to do the same thing at times but always kept what I needed. I had an old Marlin 336 SC in 30-30 with a reciever sight I've always kept. Good for home defense, deer, elk, and with Speer 100 grain Plnkers it got lots of small game too. God bless.

wolverine_173 Due to economic times they had to go

Just have the hunting shotgun and rifle left

i hope you see better times in the future

i know your pain my friend, it was not due to economic times though, 34 years ago i had to sell off 20+ guns to pay for a divorce and to keep them getting into the hands of an "X" B.I.L.

due to a "sizable" inheritance from my Fathers estate, 10 years ago i have built my collection back to a "reasonable" amount of beautiful guns.

Bummer, indeed. Haven't been there myself yet, but have been close. You, of course, made the right decision. If it really came down to it and I had no other choice - I would sell whatever guns I needed to to keep my family and myself fed, clothed, warm, and sheltered.

On the plus side, with what remains you have enough to cover "fed" and maybe some fun at the range every now and again.

Good luck and I hope you won't need it:)

We do what we have to do in order to move forward. I was in a tough spot a few years ago and was about to do the same. Fortunately I didn't have to. I sure hope things get better for you :)

It ain't about the gun, it's about the person holding it.

And I look at the positive; selling off all those guns (presumably in multiple calibers) means you can focus of building up ammo supplies for your rifle. :)

I too have been there, a couple of times.

You will get them back . . . if the passion is still there, you will find a way.

I am sorry to hear this. Unfortunatly it happen sometimes. It happened to me a long time ago, due to health problems and medical bills. I wish you the very best, and hope that everything works out.

I have a feeling this is coming my way also. My boss keeps hinting at pay cuts, cutting hours, layoffs and closing the place down. I've tried to get a jump on it buy trying to sell a few, but what a giant pain in the behind. I've given up for now.

Better days

Keep your chin up, you can always look to the day you can replace your guns with the ones you always wanted. The times will change and you will be on the top again soon. I will have you in my prayers.
