Newt Gingrich.
I've been keeping an eye on him for the last six months and the guy is doing a good job positioning himself. He's very well educated and a smart guy. It would be _nice_ to support a Republican for President who really is smarter and better educated than the Democrat!
In my ideal world, he would win the nomination and Rice would be his VP. She is a very smart lady but she really doesn't have any elected office on her resume. She could campaign as the pit bull. Nobody would want to debate her. (Or Newt for that matter.) It would force some middle of the road female voters to consider the GOP. And even some black voters.
It's a ticket that could win the national election and, more importantly, it is a ticket that could win the nomination. Something the RINO type candidates will never be able to do.
