I was fortunate enough to decide to go the life membership route back in 87. I actually paid for it with NRA award points won in matches. Then went the endowment route later on.

Life Memberships can still be had for $300. Maybe we can get a similar thing going on here at TFL.

FYI - If you are a lifer who opted out of the mailings/promotions you will not receive the $300 Life membership family/friend deals from NRA.

I plan to renew my yearly membership but the $300 Lifetime deal is tempting. I wonder if it will still be going on in month or two. They always seem to offer it when I am short on spare cash.

You can do lifetime for $300 now, and I think the Endowment upgrade deal might be $250.
I'm already a life member, so I generally shrug and toss the mailed offers. My dad has been a paid member for decades, but figures life membership for another 10-15 years of his life isn't worth it.
I'll likely upgrade when I'm older and don't have kids and a wife to keep shod and fed.

It is, I received an email today about it. Go from Life to Endowment for $250 and get a fleece jacket.

I'm thinking about it.
