Thats an awesome looking scattergun. I'm actually looking for a low-bugdet shotgun, around the $300 range, thats max. Anybody got any ideas?

Get a 18" REM 870 w/ extension, pictured bottom here:

That would be all you would need, my 870MM has been stock for 8 years, love it. It's always fun to build it up a bit, like tritium ghost ring sights, for example. :D

Gotta ask, as I have nvr shot a 12ga, but how is the recoil with that thing? I imagine a full-size Rem. 870 would have the same or a little less recoil than the Norinco. Recoil and a limited budget are the only things holding me back from getttin a 12ga pump. All I have shot is a H&R Topper Model 58 in 20ga. I'm around 6'2 and weigh about 270lbs. Now sayin I couldnt handle one, but its just I've nvr shot one, and that makes me a little leary.

Watch the videos I have posted... I'm 5'5 155lbs. :D

My girlfriend shoots both my 12 gauges. It's not bad at all, just shooting 2 3/4" shells #4 shot, it's really quite enjoyable. Get one!

Well, got some prices today from a few dealers near me. I can get an
870 HD minus 2 shot ext. on special order for $270. Dont know if its with or without tax, but gonna go and check back with the guy Saturday I think. I just dont want to order the gun, get it, and not be satisfied or it not fit me well. My brother's 870 Express with 26-28" barrel is ok, but could be handier, and with that HD model I think it'll be pretty handy. Also, checked Wal-Mart for shells, they got a 100 target loads for around $16, not bad. Buckshot and Slugs is gonna be expensive tho probably. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on whether I would be getting a good deal on the 870.

sexy shortie

Almost makes me want to move to Canada. Since ya'll can still get the Norinco guns why dont you get one of the repro 97 trench guns? How much was your shortie up there? Do you guys have restrictive laws on semi auto rifles or can you still get norinco aks?

The Trench gun is readily available... the SKS as well. We have a craptastic 5 round mag limit on center fire, 10 rounds for handguns. Rimfire long guns are unlimited.HP9-1 from http://www.marstar.ca for a mesely $345 canadian. They are a good source of Norcs for us Kanuks, the 1911's CZ clones and such. The Norinco M-305 is also a hot commodity as well.

I wish we could get some of those items that Marstar has listed down here. Norinco 1911's starting at about $265 and that M-305 (semi-auto M-14) for about $325 (rough conversion to US $ prices) The 305 may not last as long or be quite as accurate as a Springfield but you could almost buy 4 for the price of one.

longing for the "good ole days"

Man- I'd almost forgot about Norinco's 1911. I've never owned a Norinco 1911, but a trusted friend said they're the next best thing. I had a real one but my faimily wanted me to stop shooting it and regulate it to heirloom status. It was hard but I had to give it to my uncle so I'd stop. A real WWI matte blued colt with the lanyard loop on the bottom and the flat mainspring housing. It was my Grandpa's pistol during WWII. He was a pilot in the Army
Air Corps. I guess it was an old pistol reissued with the newer plstic grips. Because that's how I got it . I even shot a magazine of bullets I got with it that were loaded since the war. This was about 5 years ago. And it functioned perfectly, even though they were dated 43' and turning green.
Sorry- I got off the subject but I get really nostalgic thinking of 1911's.
One of the repros would take me right back to the first time I shot that wonderful old pistol. And they're still a wounderful defense piece.
