Just for a change of pace...

I have a model 94, 4" stainless, with a set of taurus rosewood grips, works perfect, and looks a lot better than anything else I own

I have the TCP and love it. Great price and I like the trigger better then the LCP, S&W or any of the Kel Tecs. The only thing I would have done different is get the little Sig (can't remember the model). That Sig shoots better then my TCP, but it's not a range toy so.... ehhh..... It is like double the price. Thank you no, I will stick to my less expensive gun that rarely sees the light of day.

I have put a couple hundred rounds through my TCP a mixture of FMJ and JHP and have had zero malfunctions of any kind. I really can't speak highly enough of it as a pocket gun.

My uncle has a 92 and he really enjoys it. It seems like he has had it for like 15 years with no problems. I may be a little off on the timeframe, but it seems like he has had it for as long as I can remember.

as ive always said

a good service grade weapon at a service grade price. no need to get an identical weapon at three times the price simply because youlike that company logo more.

best thing theyve done is the marketing campaign. havent been able to get anything from them thats aimed at paramilitary wannabes and other nut jobs. its all aimed at "responsible people wanting a good gun at a good price so they can save their butt when the cell phone battery is dead"

so far so good. hope i keep the winning streak alive.

I appreciate that they like to try new things.

It's refreshing to see, since firearm engineering seems so stagnant. I mean, everybody freaked the hell out when Ruger decided to make a 100 year old design.

I am not sure of the utility of some of it, but I do like to see it.

I have owned a PT92c in the past. It never failed to operate properly. I currently own a Mdl 85 ins stainless that I have had for about 20 years. Shot many hundreds of reloaded rounds through it. Still shoots as well as it did when I bought it. I also have a Tracker in 44 mag. I bought it because of the L/K size frame in a 5 shot 44 mag. I don't load anything up to the max + 10% like a lot of people do, so holding up through many rounds of max loads is not an issue for me. With lead bullet loads, that gun shoots great. I have no complaints with Taurus products. For my uses, they have been a good value.

I have had mixed bag with Taurus. The first one is a 45lc revolver my mother has on her while fishing in the mountains. Great gun.

My first taurus was a .17 hmr tracker 6" in blue. I got it NEW in box never fired.
And it NEVER shot right (timing was way off) I could not hit a pop can at 10 yds with it. Sent it in to be fixed. Taurus customer service IS THE WORST EVER! It took 3 months for them to tell me they cant "fix" it and was waiting on parts....ok....I wait 3 more weeks and hours on the phone for them to tell me they no longer make the parts I need in blue only stainless. GRRR!!!!!! I ask them if they will any time soon, They say they will call me back.......another month and then I call them again....30min to get to a person that can answer my question. They tell me "no". No parts to be made and they dont have any other answers and will not return a defective gun....so I ask them what my options are?
They have my $380 and my gun...*smoke rolling out my ears*......!@@#@$$%%$@#$!!!

So I tell them to cut the damn thing in half and send me a check for the price of the gun........only three more months to get the check......

I must be stupid or really christian like. becuase a couple of years later I saw and fell in love with the pt-111 mil-pro. It was a sub compact 9mm with 12 rds.

The gun shot ANYTHING I put through it.....But it shot 6" low at pint of aim at 7 yards....NOT cool. So again.....third time a charm right? I traded that PT-111 for a pre lock PT-99 berretta clone. And this Taurus is perfect. NO issues. VERRY accurate. and I too like the safety on the frame better than the slide like a Berretta.

I also own and carry an 85 .38 in blue. Good gun.

But I am done buying them....I will keep the ones I have but no more. Lesson learned.

Only big name builders for me from now on.

You can gamble....and you can lose.

The older PT92/99's and revolvers were very good and represented alot of value for the money. My rule of thumb for Taurus is stay away from anything with lazer etching because right around the time they switched from rollmarking to lazer etching is when their quality control went south and their prices jumped!

The 1911 9 mm I picked up Thursday was flawless at the range Saturday. Fingers got tired after loading 200 rounds, 9 rounds at a time in 2 magazines. No hiccups, failure to feed, or failure to eject and no misfires and all this on my reloads after 1 magazine of factory ammo just to see if it worked out of the box with the first magazine. For now I don't for-see any problems from the PT 1911 in 9 mm. It also was accurate.;)

Family Tauri ...

PT-94 (.22lr)
PT-25 (.25acp)
PT-111 (9mm)
PT-145 (.45acp)
Judge Public Defender

All work flawlessly. Target issues are a personal problem, as I learned long ago. The 111 is my son's so his mileage may vary.
